Malaysia Independence Day

Hello and assalamualaikum again ! Dear Malaysians ..

31 August 1957 marks the day as that the Federation of Malaya gained its Independence from British colonization , forming what we know of today as MALAYSIA . This day is also known as Hari Merdeka in the Malay language and that is why the celebration of Independence Day is incomplete without the seven shouts of "MERDEKA!" . This gesture was initiated by our first Prime Minister , Tunku Abdul Rahman . 

Although it is only a one day public holiday , the celebration builds up from a month before right up to Malaysia Day which is on 16 of September .

Every year there is a specific theme for Independence Day such as "Malaysiaku Gemilang" , "1Malaysia: Transformasi Negara" and so on . These themes will be reflected in the decorations and focus for Independence Day that year .

During the month of August , you will see most Malaysians express their patriotism by raising the Malaysian flag on the vehicles , balcony of their homes and even along the street . During this time , all that government buildings and shopping malls are hoisted with Jalur Gemilang . The whole build up towards Malaysia Independence with pride and joy where competitions and parades will be held , sometimes the children practice for performances which will be presented during Independence Day itself.

In short , Independence Day serves as a reminder to all Malaysians to appreciate the tough fight our ancestors had fought and to educate the current generation about the spirit of Independence .

Life WITHOUT technology ??

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

A life without technology would be a nightmare ! In this day and age , almost every single person uses technology in some way , shape or foam to make life easier . Yes , for most people , technology is not something we give a second thought to , but some people are literally can't live without it - and we aren't being dramatic . It's true !

Most of us are dependent on those technology , right ? If you really think about it , we expect and depend so much on technology for so many things in our life . If the power turned off and we didn't have our phones , tablets and laptops , what would we do ? Would we know how to cope with the sudden change ?  

For example , it is true that technology has helped so many people in business and everyday life . 

Can you imagine what would happen if companies and important information was gone ?

Almost everyone has a computer or a laptop or some other electrical device.

Next , I'm pretty sure that all of you have at least one dictionary at your home . But , how many of you still using it to help with spelling , pronunciation and definitions ? Or how many people still have encyclopedia at their homes anymore ? Ohh , I know computers and apps are substitute for it . If there is no technology , there was no internet . If there is no internet , there was no Google . I know majority of us learn a lot of things from Google and the internet .

Anyway , for me , too much much technology leads to too much much reliance on it , and if you are without it , you may become depressed or angry . There are many helpful tools on the Internet , but I also do feel like people should sometimes take a break from the internet so they don't become too reliant on it .

However , technology has blessed and helped me personally in so many ways and I am so thankful for it , but writing this entry has really got me thinking ... how can we do this without it ?

My prayer for you , Gaza

On the land of Gaza
Hundreds rockets approaching
Destroy everything in front of them
Crashing every innocent human

Does the sense of humanity exist ?
If yes , where ?
Life seems worthless
Power , lust , desire , becomes king

People killing , people dying
Children hurt and hear them crying
You see the pain of women
Do not show your weakness

Remember , no power exceed Allah
Because Allah never break His promise
Finish the war with victory
Our prayer will always be with you

The beauty of the sun will radiates
And shines to the earth of Gaza
Decorates your life with a lot of happiness
Just be patient until the right time

What is freedom to you ?

Assalamualaikum and hello :)

Today I am going to talk about freedom . Everybody has their own definition about freedom , not only this is a question I'm curious about , but it's also an idea . So , what is freedom to you ?

To me , freedom is not only being free , but also feeling free : to do , to say , to be , to literally (anything) - whatsoever , whenever and wherever . Because I am myself and only I own me , therefore it is my right to do anything I want :)

The unforgettable moment for me and where I feel a freedom is when I was a child . This is because , at that age , I enjoy my life , developing new talents , making new friends and living in that moment . However , if I choose to act like and adult , I will still be viewed as a child by the most people . Now , I'm 18 years old which is still young but I would love to go back to my childhood . Those are the best years but what's even better is being able to still have a child-like mentality .. meaning being free spirited - happy always :)

Freedom is still extremely important to me . I think most of us want freedom to create , to make something meaningful . The freedom that we achieve allows us to move to higher planes of mission and purpose .

So , if you're trying to create more freedom to yourself , I think it's good to ask .. what happens when you get it ? What comes next ?

Freedom is the opportunity to create our future , but choose we must . The freedom to choose how you will live your life , as long as you are not injuring somebody else when you do so .

Let's Learn English In A Fun Way !

Assalamualaikum and hello !

Welcome back ;) Entry for this week is about how to learn English in a fun way . Once you have a basic level of English explore the different ways you can say the same thing . This makes your English more interesting to the listener and it should not be too difficult for you because you already know the basics . I am not super duper good in English . haha . I just try my best to speak in English . So , here some tips and fun ways to learn English .

Firstly, watch English movie because it will so worth it . Try to look at the subtitles to pick up some words and sentences you aren't familiar with, but be careful because sometimes there is all kinds of bizarre stuff in the subtitles . Next , watching TV only gives you the chance to hear something correctly first time .This is better for high level students . It can be great practice for speaking to native English speakers so you don’t have to ask them to repeat themselves ! But for me , it is better to watch DVDs rather than TV .  It’s better to use something that you can watch over again to catch information you might have missed the first time.

Next , all of us love music right ? Watch the video clips with lyrics on YouTube and sing along . Read the translation and build up your vocabulary . When you are alone at home, or of course in the shower, start singing or talking ! Sing your heart out ! Show your beautiful voice ! Learn English songs and sing along with them to improve fluency and intonation .. err .. anyone for Karaoke ? hehehe . Just sing a song in English the way it sounds to you, talk about the weather or any other topic . Do not ever translate into English from your own language . Think in English to improve your fluency . Talk to yourself .. but not on the bus otherwise people will think you have gone crazy ! Do this frequently and your pronunciation will drastically improve . I guaranteed !

Alright , I think that is all for today . Use English whenever you can . It's as simple as that ! Remember , the most natural way to learn English is through talking . Enjoy it ! We learn more when we are having fun ! Till we meet again :)

MH17 - Al-Fatihah

The loss of MH370 remains unresolved and once again , Malaysia was shocked with a tragic news when we know Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, flight MH17 reportedly had been shot and crashed near the Russian border in Ukraine . The aircraft was on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and carry 280 passengers and 15 crew members . Because of the incident , it killing all the passengers and the crews .

All of us wondering why . Why must Malaysia Airlines ? Why they had been shot ? Although none of my family involved in the incident , I still feel grief and understand the feelings of those who had lost their family members or maybe their friends . But things already happen and we cannot do anything . Only one thing that we can do , just pray for them and hope they will 'rest in peace' .

Since we often hear the news about airplane crashed , sometimes I feel afraid to take a flight to go back home . My hometown and my family are in Sarawak *and I miss them* But never mind , I'm always remember that Allah is always with me. In Shaa Allah . Just leave it to Allah , Allah is the best planner . No matter which religion you are , always remember your God . Okay then , I think that's all

**keep calm and pray for them . pray for MH17 & MH370 . Wassalam

Ahlan Wa Sahlan Ramadhan :)

Assalmualaikum and hi :) Salam Ramadhan u alls . Happy fasting :) Now , Ramadhan is only less than 10 more days 

Well , as you know Ramadhan is the fourth of the five pillars of Islam . The Al-Quran was first revealed to Nabi Muhammad SAW in this month . The actual night that the Al-Quran was revealed is a night know as 'Lailatul Qadar' 

Why we are fasting ? It is not just 'NO eating' and 'NO drinking' . Fasting is intended to help Muslims self-discipline , self-restraint and generousity . It reminds us to the poor people who is suffering for food and rarely eat well .

Haaa ! Bazaar Ramadhan . All of us like to go there , right ? haha . me too ! FOOD is everywhere . But remember , please use your money wisely . Sometimes , we buy to much food until we can't finish it all . 

Okay , I think that's all . It is just simple about Ramadhan . Hope we will meet again in the next Ramadhan .

Btw , this is the first time I'm fasting in KL . ehemm , I'm from Sarawak okayy . haha . and of course , 'iftar' here is a little bit late than Sarawak .

This is real , This is me

Assalamualaikum and hello
Well , this is my first blog because I've never create any blog before this . So , I'm still "noob" in 'blogging'.

Okay , what do you want to know about me ?
My favourite films ? Favourite musics ? Who are my best friends ? Which place I always go to hang out ?
OR ..
you want to know who is my future husband ? *overrr* haha

At first impression , people will say that I am a passive girl . But when I started to feel comfortable with that person , I can be a talkative girl . I can act like "crazy" people too especially with my bestfriends . hahaha . I like to have many friends and have some jokes , laugh and laugh as the world is ours . People says , laughing is a best treatment for us , but if  you are laughing because of no reasons , I think you are the one who needs a treatment *oppsss*
Just simple about me . "My personality is who I am . My attitude is usually based on how a person treats me"  So , I don't care you are white , black , fat , skinny , tall , short , rich or poor .. if you're nice to me , I'll be nice to you . Simple as that :)

Girls love shopping and I do love shopping . yeahh ! especially when there is a sale . I need a few hours to go for shopping and maybe 5 hours is not enough for me . haha .
Sometimes I can act like this ,
 I want to buy a bag -> Then , I search for a blouse -> Finally , I buy a shoe
*if you understand what I mean*
So , who wants to go shopping with me , please think first . hahaha . Yes , I admit I am a little bit fussy . But no worries , only sometimes I will act like that . hee ;)

Next is about my favourite part . MUSIC ! I repeat it again , M.U.S.I.C . All of us love music , right ? Music is powerful enough to change a persons perception of the world . *wuuuu ..

Facts about me when I listen to the music and I believe some of you did this ..
~ When I like the song , I will download it . Then , I listen to it a million times and then I hate it ! 

~ I restart the whole song when I miss my favourite part
~ When I'm happy , I enjoy the music *yeyeahhh* But when I'm sad , I understand the lyrics *sob sob ;(*

~ Even though I have thousands songs in my phone , I will repeat my favourite song again and again and again and again until I feel bored !

But anyway , music is a part of my life .
"Music to me is like breathing - I don't get tired of breathing , I don't get tired of music"

 Okay , I think that's all . And .. of course I will not share about my weaknesses . No way ! haha . Just find it by yourself . My friends like "bullying" me as they know my weaknesses . huh ! hmmm . It's time to say goodbye ..

Officially 18 on 4th February and of course I'm still young and active . hehe ;)
My friends in primary school used to call me Khairun or Kay
But now , majority people prefer to call me Nisa
Only my dad is different from others . Since I was born , he loves to call me Anis
So , you can call me whatever you want
But I prefer you to call me Nisa :)
